Opus Launches Spec Industrial Near Columbus

The Opus Group began construction on Winchester Logistics Park, a two-building speculative industrial development in Canal Winchester, OH, on Columbus’ southeast side. Construction on a 258,000-square-foot mid-size and a 556,000-square-foot larger cross-dock building is expected to be complete next summer.

“By working closely with the city of Canal Winchester, we were able to bring the first buildings of this kind to a growing community and active submarket for modern distribution,” said Douglas Swain, VP and GM at Opus. “This prime location takes advantage of the city’s many amenities, and is in close proximity to the regional expressway system while offering access to a strong, stable labor pool.”

Opus is the developer, design-builder, and architect and engineer of record. The project is a joint venture with New York-based AIG Global Real Estate.

First National Bank of Omaha provided financing. JLL’s Brian Marsh and Dan Wendorf will handle leasing.
