Opus Completes Spec Industrial in Kansas City Market, Signs First Tenants
Minneapolis-based The Opus Group completed a 230,000-square-foot speculative warehouse and distribution building at 56 Commerce Center in Olathe, KS. Subsequently, the developer leased more than 85,000 square feet to a pair of tenants, the project’s first occupants.
Gateway Classic Cars claimed 38,500 square feet, while Lanter Delivery Systems, Inc. took 48,500 square feet. This is Gateway Classic Cars’ first location in the Kansas City-area, and the newest addition to its 17 existing locations throughout the U.S. The space will serve as a showroom for vehicles and automobile storage.
56 Commerce Center serves as a regional shipping hub for Lanter’s local automotive, agricultural and industrial clients. The company provides specialized overnight unattended delivery logistic services.
CBRE’s Joe Orscheln and Mike Mitchelson marketed the property for lease. Mark Long at Newmark Grubb Zimmer, on behalf of Jackson Cooksey, represented Gateway Classic Cars. John Stafford at Colliers International represented Lanter.
