Optometrists Eye Expansion, Acquire Mingo Building

Longview Eye Associates acquired the former Mingo Sales and Services building at 1815 Judson Rd. in Longview, TX. Optometrists Justin and Sarah Ward, who own Longview Eye Associates, are targeting the 6,714-square-foot building for expansion. The practice had operated out of a 5,900-square-foot building at 1506 Judson Rd. since the mid-1990s.

The Wards, who had acquired the practice in 2014, hired Hayes Engineering to conduct site review for the property, and Fazio Architects as the architect. A general contractor has not yet been hired. Construction is anticipated to begin in June 2018, with opening scheduled for summer 2019.

Justin Ward told the Longview News-Journal that the new site would hold the same group of optometrists, along with three or four additional employees. “We are going to be bringing on a new associate doctor, so there is added space for patient care,” he stated.
