OPEN Impact, JLL Partner to Lease Up BankNote Building

OPEN Impact Real Estate and JLL have been retained to lead leasing and marketing efforts at the historic BankNote Building in the Bronx, one of New York City’s leading destinations for nonprofit, educational and public-sector organizations.

The assignment, which will be led by OPEN co-founder Stephen Powers and JLL Vice Chairman Mitchell L. Konsker, marks the latest chapter in the evolution of the approximately 405,000-square-foot property. Once an industrial landmark, the building has grown into one of the Bronx’s largest hubs for nonprofit organizations, government agencies, educational institutions and other mission-driven enterprises.

“There are very few opportunities in New York City where you can find this combination of scale, character, infrastructure and mission,” said Powers.  “The BankNote Building has always been about more than real estate. It has evolved into a place where organizations serving New Yorkers can work alongside one another and amplify their impact. We’re excited to help shape what comes next.”
