Ontario Mills Expands, Adds 10 Stores

The largest redevelopment project in the history of Ontario Mills is reportedly moving towards an expected summer completion. The 91,000-square-foot expansion includes space for 10 new smaller retailers in a larger space formerly occupied by a J.C. Penny Outlet.

Among the new stores joining the retail mix are popular clothing retailer Uniqlo, outdoor-wear store The North Face, and Blaze Pizza, which will feature on outdoor dining patio.

“This is the first real major redevelopment at the center where its actually changing the infrastructure,” said Amanda Shewan, who leads regional marketing efforts for Simon Property Group. Shewan says more than 100 modifications have been completed at Ontario Mills in the last five years, as the malls owner and operator continues improving the shopping experience.
