Ontario Hosting California Economic Summit

The city of Ontario is currently hosting the 2015 California Economic Summit, a meeting between state professionals to examine the economic challenges California could face during the next 10 years.

This is the first time the summit is being held in the Inland Empire, following stints in Los Angeles and Santa Clara.

This year’s event will challenge participants to develop strategies that can address California’s infrastructure, housing and workforce needs. Key issues are how to produce one million more acre-feet of water each year, as well as one million more homes, and one million more skilled workers.

Today is the final day of the conference, which is being held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Ontario Airport hotel.
