Ontario Airport Passenger Traffic Increases

Passenger traffic at Ontario International Airport rose almost 2.3 percent in August year over year. But while overall activity is up, there are less people taking domestic flights to and from the facility.

Ontario Airport passenger traffic got a lift from an increase in international flights, to and from Guadalajara and Mexico City, that weren’t available the prior year. This boosted the number of foreign passengers to 17,549, a 101-percent increase from August 2014.

However, domestic passengers, which totaled 351,082 in August, posted a 0.19-percent drop. So far this year, 2.67 million passengers have used the Ontario International Airport, a 0.23-percent lift from the same period one year ago.
