Onni Plans 53 & 37-Story Towers at Times Mirror Square Site

Vancouver, Canada-based Onni Group’s redevelopment of Times Mirror Square is moving forward, as plans for the DTLA mixed-use project take shape. The latest planning department filings include details about two new towers with residential, office and retail space.

A 53-story tower will rise 655 feet above 2nd St., while a 37-story tower is envisioned to rise 465 feet at 1st and Broadway. The original Art Deco Times building, as well as expansions added in the 1940s are being restored and incorporated into the new campus.

The towers are slated to include a mix of 1,126 residential units, and retail space is set to be housed on the ground levels of both towers. A new pedestrian paseo connects 1st and 2nd streets, while a landscaped amenity deck is planned on a rooftop between the two buildings.
