Online Furniture Retailer Article Inks 507K-SF Build-to-Suit Lease in Baytown
TGS Cedar Port Partners has signed an agreement with online furniture company Article for a 507,000-square-foot industrial lease at TGS Cedar Port Industrial Park, the largest master-planned, rail-and-barge-served industrial park in the U.S.
The build-to-suit lease will mark Article’s first fulfillment center in Texas. Article is a digital-first furniture shopping experience that was started in 2013. The multi-modal TGS Cedar Port Industrial Park is focused on warehousing, distribution and fulfillment operations. It is located off State Highway 99.
TGS Cedar Port broke ground in 2021 on three new industrial spec buildings, including a 1.2 million-square-foot distribution center delivering in May 2022; a 496,000-square-foot distribution center that can be rail-served or cross dock configured delivering in 3rd Quarter 2022 and a 150,000-square-foot rail-served building expandable to 600,000 square feet delivering in 4th Quarter 2022.
