So Kilroy Realty Corp. says it has reached an agreement with community groups in the Carmel Valley area to decrease the size of its mixed-use One Paseo project which was rejected by the San Diego City Council last week.

Kilroy has agreed with the community groups to scale back the size of the office and retail components of the development which was scheduled to top out at 1.4 million square feet.

One Paseo will still have stores, restaurants and open spaces, though. The 608 residential units were considered needed, though, and were not apparently criticized by community groups.
