Ohana Sells Partial Stake in Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach

Ohana Real Estate Investors has sold a partial ownership stake in the 400-key Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club in Dana Point to the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. Terms weren’t disclosed. San Manuel’s investment consists of an approximately 40% interest in the property with the option to increase its ownership through one or more future transactions.

The property features 400 newly refreshed guest rooms and suites; an extensive array of dining options; Waldorf Astoria Spa & Salon, three pools; approximately 120,000 square feet of meeting and event space; an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.; and an exclusive beach club with a beachfront indoor-outdoor bar and restaurant.
