Office Vacancies Ticked Up, Asking Rents in Mid-$30s
Most of the firms issuing quarterly reports for Austin noted that office vacancies ticked up in 2Q 2018, while average asking rents hovered in the mid-$30s. Meanwhile, 4.1 million square feet was under construction, though much of the square footage being built is owner-occupied. Interestingly enough, absorption rates varied widely.
