Office Spaces Push Creative Edge
What constitutes a cool office these days? The options run the gamut from modern chic spots trendy hipsters want to hang out in… to the more refined, relaxed and understated places that feel more like a comfortable backyard BBQ.
Given the key role work environments play in attracting the best and brightest talent, employers are paying even more attention to what their office says to candidates today. Companies push the creative envelope, yet still strive to enhance work productivity.
Across the globe some pretty edgy ideas have emerged. They range from a staircase that doubles as a work station and slide in ad agency Ogilvy & Mather’s Jakarta office… to breakout spaces with indoor swings and an island-themed area in Groupon’s Chicago office. Others include Quicken Loans’ Detroit HQ with a pool table shaped like a Ford Mustang, a basketball court and in-office scooters, Onefootball’s track that winds through the office, and ad agency TBWA Hakuhodo’s Tokyo office that offers employees soothing indoor lawns.
