Office Developer Buys Brownsville Industrial at 315 Liberty Ave.
A developer planning to build office space paid $5 million for a two-story industrial property at 315 Liberty Ave. in Brooklyn’s Brownsville neighborhood.
“Beldex Realty, LLC is in the undergarment business, and is looking to relocate to New Jersey to buy something that is more inexpensive,” said Neil Dolgin, co-president with Kalmon Dolgin Affiliates, which arranged the transaction.
The property includes a 28,000-square-foot building, plus 10,000 square feet of land.
The buyer, 315 Liberty Ave. LLC, is also a major landlord in the region, and owns property in East New York, including a building nearby. “A lot of potential buyers are scouting available industrial properties… especially in East New York,” said Dolgin.
A new city program encourages office development in places like this part of Brooklyn.
