OfferUp Takes All of Seattle-Area Building

OfferUp leased 100% of Onward Investors’ 71,329-square-foot Mercer Pointe office building in Bellevue, WA. The Seattle-based online marketplace is relocating and expanding from a 17,000-square-foot office next door to Mercer Pointe in the 65-acre Bellefield Office Park.

Last year, Onward Investors acquired Mercer Pointe, the former AAA office building, that is within an office park consisting of 16 buildings totaling 507,000 square feet. The value-add property owner completed improvements to accommodate OfferUp.

Renovations included remodeling of the entry lobby and common areas, vacancy preparation and select improvements to the building exterior. Planned improvements include an onsite fitness center, cafeteria and break room.

OfferUp is an online buying and selling service that’s experiencing tremendous growth, with more than $14 billion in transactions completed in 2016 alone. The company also has doubled its staff in the past year to more than 200 employees.
