Off-Market Deal Puts Dansons in the Central Scottsdale Submarket

A vacant corporate headquarters facility in Scottsdale recently sold to Dansons for $39 million in an off-market transaction. Located in the Central Scottsdale submarket, the two-story 200,000-square-foot office building was formerly occupied by a Fortune 100 insurance company.

The new owner will relocate its headquarters from central Phoenix to Scottsdale, where it will continue to expand its operations. Dansons manufactures and sells BBQ smokers, grills and wood pellets.

“The new Dansons campus will help usher in a new era for our company,” said Jeff Thiessen, Dansons president. “Not only will it provide us a state-of-the-art space for our team to continue to innovate and market best-in-class-products, but it also will serve as a perfect venue to host our valued retail and business partners, brand ambassadors and extended members of the Dansons family.”

Cushman & Wakefield’s Dave Carder and Scott Boardman in Phoenix represented Dansons in the transaction, and Fred Darche and Spencer Nast with Lee & Associates represented the seller.

“The property in Central Scottsdale is well-positioned off the Loop 101 and was an ideal fit for our client with respect to the labor pool, amenities and notable corporate neighbors,” says Boardman.

The campus is located at 8877 N. Gainey Center Dr.

“This was a great opportunity for Dansons to invest in an attractive class-A headquarters facility in the prestigious Gainey Ranch area,” said Carder.
