Oden Hughes Rebrands as OHT Partners

Austin-based multifamily development, construction and investment firm Oden Hughes has been renamed OHT Partners LLC. The new name pays homage to the initials of all three long-time company principals, Steve Oden, Craig Hughes and Eric Taylor. A new logo and website accompany the name change, but there will be no changes in the company’s leadership, hierarchy or operations.

In the last decade, OHT Partners has evolved from a boutique multifamily developer with an in-house construction team to a Texas multifamily developer that is considered one of the largest multifamily builders in the nation, according to the National Multifamily Housing Council. Taylor has led the firm’s construction division since 2011.

“Under Eric Taylor’s leadership, our construction division has played an integral role in the success and growth of our company,” says Oden. “What began as a way to build better projects for ourselves has grown into a substantial business in its own right alongside our development business.”

OHT has completed or started work on more than 27,000 apartments in the Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio areas in the last 10 years.

“The new name simply better represents the business we have today and positions us better for the future,” says Hughes. “Eric and his team have been an instrumental part of our first decade of success, and we anticipate that will continue to be the case for years to come.”
