Ocoee Greenlights Cambria Hotel

When it comes to hotels, the Covid hangover is behind us. The new hotel market is booming. The U.S. construction pipeline for new hotels hit record project counts in the fourth quarter of 2023, according to a Lodging Econometrics report.

The Orlando Business Journal reports Maguire Holding Group is building a 117-room Cambria hotel in Ocoee. Cambria Suites at Ocoee will be six stories with a restaurant and pool. The site is right next to a Fairfield Inn & Suites. at 924 Maguire Road. The hotel is across the street from the $1 billion-plus City Center West Orange development.

Cambria Hotels is a brand owned by Rockville, Maryland-based Choice Hotels International Inc. (NYSE: CHH), intended to be one of the company’s upscale offerings.

The engineering firm for the project is Mitch Collins PE Inc. The architect is Construction & Design Group of Florida.
