Occidental Announces Relocation to Anadarko’s Former 350K-SF Campus
In the wake of Occidental Petroleum’s acquisition of Anadarko Petroleum, the former announced it would relocate its Midland, TX operations to the latter’s 450,000-square-foot campus, which is still under construction. Occidental, in the meantime, will sell its 212,000-square-foot Midland campus, Oxy Permian Plaza, which opened in late 2015.
Anadarko began construction on its campus in Westridge Commons on Midland’s west side in spring 2018, before the Occidental acquisition. The two five-story buildings are situated on 10 acres, totaling 350,000 square feet for office and a 100,000-square-foot amenities building. The latter has a fitness center, auditorium, health clinic, child care and outdoor fitness area.
Meanwhile, Oxy Permian Plaza, at 6001 Deauville Blvd., is situated on 11.7 acres and consists of two office buildings, joined by a conference center. The complex will be vacated by April 2020. CBRE and Moriah Real Estate Co. will market the property.
