OCC Signs 105K-SF Lease at The Franklin

Equity derivatives clearing organization OCC has signed a long-term lease for 105,000 square feet of office space at The Franklin in Chicago’s West Loop. Landlord Tishman Speyer was self-represented by Ellen May and Greg Tait. Holly Duran, Louis Durkin and Jeff Mulder with Holly Duran Real Estate Partners LLC were the tenant reps.

The 2.5-million-square-foot Franklin recently underwent a repositioning and lobby redevelopment, along with other major capital improvements. Upgrades included the addition of a gourmet café, a renovated conference center that can seat up to 300, an on-site fitness center, tenant-only bar and event venue R29.

The complex consists of two connected buildings at 222 W. Adams St. and 227 W. Monroe St.
