Oakland’s Transformation Continues at Uptown Dev Site
Menlo Park CA-based Lane Partners and Oakland-based Strategic Urban Development Alliance LLC are seeking approvals on plans for Eastline, a 1.3-million-square-foot, mixed-use development in Uptown Oakland. Construction is slated to start in 2018 on what would be the largest Uptown project in a decade, and one of the largest single buildings ever developed in Oakland.
The proposed development includes 800,000 square feet of commercial space, 400,000 square feet of residential, encompassing roughly 388 units, as well as 85,000 square feet of retail.
Lane Partners’ Andrew Haydel says, “Eastline is the next step in the revitalization of Oakland, bringing critical office space, jobs, housing and community space to Uptown.”
The development site at 2100 Telegraph Ave. is a combination of private sites and a parking structure owned by the city.
The project team also includes equity partner, Walton Street Capital, listing broker, CBRE, and architect, Gensler.
