NYU Stern at Abu Dhabi and Chen Institute to Host Global Real Estate Markets Conference
With the commercial real estate industry on the cusp of renewed investment and growth, NYU will bring global industry leaders together in Abu Dhabi next month for an in-depth discussion of the opportunities and risks in deploying capital across markets and strategies. The 2025 NYU Global Real Estate Markets Conference is scheduled for Feb. 12 and 13, presented by the Chen Institute for Global Real Estate Finance and Stern at NYU Abu Dhabi.
Keynote speakers for the program include Ankur Gupta, managing partner and head of Asia Pacific and Middle East for Brookfield’s Real Estate Group, and Drew Goldman, Global Head of Real Estate, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA).
The theme of the conference is “Connecting Global Capital and Regional Strategies for the New Real Estate Cycle.” The agenda includes Fireside Discussions and Outlook Sessions, Regional Opportunities Focus Sessions and a Special Session on “Insights from the World Economic Forum’s 2025 Reimaging Real Estate Framework Report.”
The report’s authors, Chen Institute founding director and conference co-chair Sam Chandan, Ph.D. and Kalin Bracken, head of real estate at the World Economic Forum, will be joined at the conference by Majid Al Futtaim Properties CEO Ahmed El Sham, a member of the World Economic Forum’s Real Estate Governors Community and a conference keynote speaker.
Other industry thought leaders scheduled to present their insights include Robert E. Hart, president and CEO, TruAmerica Multifamily; Candice King, head of capital market, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority; Fethi Kirdar, managing director and head of MENA, Fifth Wall; Brian Klinksiek, global head of strategy, LaSalle Investment Management; Brian Patterson, founder, White Star Real Estate; and Neel C. Raheja, group president K Raheja Corporation & India chair, Asia Pacific Real Estate Association, among others
