The new academic medical center at 222 E. 41st St. will include a new center of excellence in cosmetic plastic surgery, thanks to a $5 million gift from the Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Foundation.

The Perlmutter Cosmetic Surgery Center will open in late 2018 as part of the prestigious Hansjӧrg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery at NYU Langone.

NYU Langone has leased all 390,000 square feet of available space at the Midtown office tower. Work is underway to transform the 25-story building over the next two years into a state-of-the-art medical center, including medical offices, ambulatory care facilities and ancillary uses.
