NYU Langone Inks 105K-SF LIC Lease
NYU Langone Health has secured a 105,000-square-foot lease for life sciences space at Innolabs in Long Island City, Queens. The move, expected in 2024, will relocate four research programs, including the Neuroscience Institute and the Institute for Systems Genetics, currently situated at 435 East 30th Street.
Additionally, NYU will launch the NYU Tandon School of Engineering’s Biomedical Engineering Program at the 267,000-square-foot development. Innolabs, a joint venture by King Street Properties and GFP Real Estate, also houses Opentrons, a biotechnology company occupying 94,000 square feet.
“This move is significant as it demonstrates the vitality of Long Island City as part of NYU’s life sciences ecosystem, as well as being a catalyst for its continued growth,” said Ed Jaram, senior director of King Street Properties.
