NYCEDC Launches Climate Innovation Pilot Program in Brooklyn

The New York City Economic Development Corporation has launched a climate innovation pilot program at the Brooklyn Army Terminal (BAT) in Sunset Park.

The initiative will allow companies to test and scale their climate technologies in live environments, focusing on areas such as energy, transportation, and building decarbonization. BAT’s infrastructure, including parking spaces, electrical systems, and plumbing, will be available for the pilot projects.

Three companies have been selected for the inaugural cohort, including Conservation Labs, Enertiv, and Trakref. The program aims to leverage public-private partnerships to accelerate the adoption of innovative climate solutions and support New York City’s transition to a green economy.
