Bronx Ranked in US Top 10 for Rental Demand

Rental trends are reshaping as overlooked areas like The Bronx rise in popularity due to high home prices and peak rental season, according to August Rental Activity Reports from RentCafe.

The reports reveal significant shifts in renter preferences. The Bronx surged three spots to #6, witnessing a 34% decrease in listings and doubled traffic year-over-year, pushing it closer to the top five. Queens, the largest NYC borough, jumped six spots to #13, marked by a 75% drop in listings and a 77% page view surge.

Manhattan rose one spot to #37 with a 9% apartment availability drop, a 24% increase in views, and a 121% spike in favorited apartments, alongside a 26% decline in specific searches. These trends underscore changing housing dynamics and evolving urban landscapes.
