NY State Agency More Than Doubles Footprint at SL Green Tower

The New York State Office of General Services has expanded its presence at SL Green Realty Corp.’s 919 Third Ave. by 66,100 square feet. The lease more than doubles the agency’s footprint at the Midtown Manhattan office tower, bringing the 1.5-million-square-foot property to 100% occupancy.

OGS first took occupancy at 919 Third in 2024 with a lease for approximately 53,000 square feet. The 15-year renewal and expansion increases its footprint to 117,390 square feet.

“Leasing velocity on Third Avenue has significantly increased this year, resulting in a notable shortage of large, high-quality availabilities,” said Steven Durels, director of leasing and real property at SL Green. Bloomberg LP upsized its presence at 919 Third to 925,000 square feet last year.

CBRE’s Stephen Siegel, Liz Lash, Peter Larkin and Mark Bezold represented OGS. SL Green was represented by CBRE’s Robert Alexander, Ryan Alexander, Emily Chabrier, Taylor Callahan, Alex D’Amario and Nicole Marshal.
