NY Mortgage Trust Adds CREFC’s Pendergast to Board

Lisa Pendergast, executive director of the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council, has joined the board of directors at New York Mortgage Trust. She has served as head of the 9,000-member trade organization since September 2016.

Before joining CREFC, Pendergast was managing director of the CMBS strategies and risk division at Jefferies LLC. Prior to her seven-year tenure with Jefferies, she was a managing director with RBS Greenwich Capital and Prudential Securities.

Steven Mumma, chairman and CEO of the REIT, said that Pendergast’s 30-plus years’ experience in the commercial and residential real estate markets “will be of great benefit to the company and board.”
