NY Developer Breaks Ground on X Phoenix MF

The Connect Apartments Conference will take place June 20, 2019 in Los Angeles. For more information, or to register, click here.

New York-based Property Markets Group (PMG) broke ground on the first phase of X Phoenix, a 20-story apartment, retail and office project in Phoenix. The 616-bed property is planned for a site at 200 W. Monroe St.

The two-phase apartment project is part of what PMG calls its X Social Communities brand. Residents select either a furnished or unfurnished unit, and can participate in a program that offers bedroom rentals that come with a private bedroom and bathroom within a furnished unit that is shared with others.

The new development in the desert market will include a ground floor food hall and a 50,000-square-foot pool deck. Shared spaces will include a giant hot tub and pool, outdoor bar and lounge, performance stage and great lawn, plus such X Social Communities’ amenities as a 4,500-square-foot co-working lab, 8,000-square-foot modern gym, fitness studio and sky dog park.
