NY City Agency Renews 350K-SF Manhattan Lease
The New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services renewed its lease at Gould Investors’ 109 East 16th St. in Manhattan. The agency’s Human Resources Administration (HRA) will occupy the entire 12-story, 349,777-square-foot building.
The 20-year lease renewal commences in June 2018, and will generate $15.8-million in annual rent at the century-old building.
HRA, which has occupied the space since 1991, delivers emergency rental assistance, food stamps, temporary cash assistance, as well as job placement services, and works with the city’s homeless services department.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Robert Giglio and JRT Realty’s Ellen Israel represented the city. The landlord was represented in-house by Mark Lundy.
