Nuveen Real Estate Snags 360-Unit Raleigh MF Property
Global real estate investment manager Nuveen Real Estate has acquired Bell Wakefield, a 360-unit, garden-style multifamily community in the north Raleigh submarket for an undisclosed price. Sean Wood, John Heimburger, Dean Smith, Alex Okulski, John Munroe and Jason Kon of NKF represented the seller, Greensboro-based Bell Partners Inc., in the transaction.
Originally developed in 2000 by the Altman Companies, the property features nine-foot ceilings and a recently-renovated clubhouse that included package locker installation. Amenities include a resort-style pool, outdoor kitchen, firepit, fitness center and lighted tennis courts.
“Bell Wakefield boasts the largest floorplans in the submarket, and approximately 50% of the units include direct access garages, a feature that has consistently helped properties outperform others in the Triangle region,” said NKF’s Wood.
