Nuveen Real Estate put up its shingle in Dallas, opening an office at The Union in the metro’s Uptown submarket. The new office will be headed by Nuveen Managing Director and Head of the U.S. Industrial Sector, Graydon Bouchillon.

Nuveen Real Estate is an affiliate of Nuveen, A TIAA company, and currently owns more than 29.1 million square feet of commercial real estate property in Texas. The firm’s investment portfolio comprises nearly seven million square feet in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The Dallas office at 2300 N. Field St. is staffed by a seven-person team, which is expected to grow as Nuveen Real Estate expands its investments. The company recently added Louis Bauer, Kyle Patterson and Holly Losey to the staff. “The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and the entire state of Texas offer vibrant economies and attractive fundamentals that make this a promising region for enhancement of our investment capabilities,” Bouchillon said.
