NRP Planning 377-Unit Matthews Rental Community
After spending $3.5 million on a 15-acre site in Matthews, NRP says it will begin work on a 377-unit apartment project before the end of the year. The Charlotte Business Journal reports that Brigman Family Farm Properties was the seller.
The development, at 11347 Brigman Road in Matthews, will also include 19,000 square feet of retail space and be called District at Matthews.
The plan calls for 7.5% of the total units to be affordable at 80% of the area median income for 20 years.
NRP Group delivered its latest apartment project in January: The Residence at Cedar Creek, a 200-unit mixed-income development located at 7224 Forest Point Blvd. The development offers affordable units for residents making 30%, 60% or 80% of the area median income (AMI).
Founded in the mid-1990s, NRP Group builds a mix of project types in the 16 markets it serves.
