The NRP Group is planning Lakeside Lofts, a 336-unit affordable apartment complex for a vacant lot at 5606 U.S. Hwy 87 East. The San Antonio Business Journal reports the project, slated for a 19-acre parcel east of the Loop 410 and Rigsby Avenue intersection, is expected to cost $91.6 million.

The development will have one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units. The units will be reserved for tenants who make from 30% to 70% of the area median income. The NRP Group will apply for 4% low-income housing tax credits.

In the Brooks area, the company is involved in a market-rate apartment complex that would deliver 349 units south of the campus of the former military complex. It’s also working in partnership with the Brooks Development Authority on a $78 million multifamily and retail project at the Loop 410 and Interstate 37 interchange (photo). The firm closed on the land around the new year, and construction is expected to begin soon and finish in 2027.
