Now Open at Brooks: $11M Greenline

The Greenline, a 43-acre, linear urban park, is now open in far southeast San Antonio. The park is connecting the mixed-use neighborhood of Brooks to 15 miles of walking, jogging and biking trails from San Antonio’s historic missions through downtown, The Pearl and Brackenridge Park.

The park offers 1.5 miles of hiking, biking and jogging trails, a fitness station, play structure, a food truck court, four pavilions and areas for outdoor games. The Greenline also has 10 acres of grasslands and 10 acres of native vegetation. Additionally, Southerleigh Brewing Co. is planning its second restaurant and brewery at Brooks.

The Greenline is also home to “Running with the Moon,” a public art installation created by Dallas-area Brad Oldham Sculpture. As part of the official grand opening ceremony, a waterproof time capsule was buried at the base of the sculpture, and will be opened in 100 years.
