November Home Sales in San Antonio Outpacing 2016’s

November home sales in the San Antonio metro increased 7% year-over-year, totaling 2,324, according to the San Antonio Board of Realtors (SABOR). While this year’s volume outpaced that in 2016, total homes sold slightly decreased between October and November.

More than 28,000 homes sold since January 2017, representing a 4% year-over-year increase. Average and median home prices have also increased. “We had over 150 more homes sold in November 2017 than in 2016, and over 1,000 additional homes sold this year to date,” said Yvette Allen, SABOR’s 2017 chairman of the board. “All signs point to this being our biggest year yet in real estate.”

The average sales price also increased by 7% to $256,253, while the median home price, at $216,900, represented a 9% boost from the year before.
