Beck Ventures to kick off Dallas Midtown with apartment venture

North Dallas Mixed-Use Project Triggered by Apartment Build

When it comes to development plans where the Valley View mall used to stand, it’s taken Beck Ventures over ten years to become an overnight success. The developer purchased the Valley View mall in 2012 and has since demolished it. Now, after many starts and stops, it’s ready to get moving on one of North Texas’s more ambitious development projects.

A 275-unit apartment development will kick off the activity which the company thinks could ultimately become a $5 billion mixed-use complex. The companies building affiliate, Anthem Development, will start work early next year on five floors of apartments which will be above 26,000 feet of restaurant and retail space on the ground floor.

At buildout, the Dallas Midtown project is slated to consist of 4,000 residences, office towers, shopping, restaurants, entertainment, luxury hotels, and green space galore.
