North Charleston Retail Center Acquired for $17M

The Shoppes at Centre Pointe, a 139,688-square foot retail asset in North Charleston, SC, sold for $17.1 million. The asset was acquired by a private entity affiliated with Georgia-based Olympic Property Management from an unnamed private Atlanta-based investor.

Anchored by Ashley Furniture, Staples and Dollar Tree, the shopping center is situated across from Tanger Outlets on Centre Pointe Drive. Built in 2006, the 98%-leased property is located at the signalized intersection of Centre Pointe Drive and Wetland Crossing Road.

The Shopping Center Group’s (TSCG) Anthony Blanco and Jeff Yurfest handled the transaction, which required the assumption of existing financing by the buyer.

Blanco says, “The Shoppes at Centre Pointe benefits from its location at the intersection of two primary highways in Charleston – Interstates 26 and 526. Many of the tenants have a long history of successful operations at the property, including Ashley Furniture that recently unveiled a newly-renovated store.”
