Nordstrom Rack to Open Two Houston Stores
Brick-and-mortar retail may be struggling in certain parts of the country, but in Houston, things seem to be zinging along. Nordstrom plans to open two Nordstrom Rack locations in Houston within months of each other.
A new store is opening in the Westchase Shopping Center. Nordstrom plans to build-out a 30,561-square-foot space at 10885 Westheimer Road, with an anticipated completion date of late December.
Nordstrom Rack’s build-out is expected to cost $3.2 million. Houston-based CDA Architects has been tapped to design the store.
Another Nordstrom plans to open a 30,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack store at 100 Meyerland Plaza, just outside the Interstate 610 Loop.
Nordstrom planned to spend $3 million building out the space to make way for a retail sales floor, personnel offices and stock storage. In the Houston area, the company currently has a total of seven stores.
