Nonprofit Buys Building in Maryland in Deal Brokered by Lee & Associates

SAMU First Response, an independent non-profit organization that provides humanitarian support, has strengthened its presence in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. area with the group’s acquisition of 19 Main Street in Laurel, Maryland, for $1.55 million.

With U.S. headquarters in Washington, D.C., SAMU First Response intends to occupy the two-building, 11,400-square-foot portfolio later this year. Kate Jordan, SIOR, Principal; Marley Black (Welsh), SIOR, Principal, and Samantha Eckels, Senior Associate with Lee & Associates | Maryland represented the selling entity, 19 Main Street LLC. Coco Palomenque of COMPASS Real Estate represented the buyer, SAMU Foundation.

The 19 Main Street portfolio consists of two buildings that encompass a mix of commercial office, warehouse and logistics space. The site features 16-foot ceiling heights and five at-grade drive-in loading doors. “19 Main Street provides SAMU First Response with a highly-flexible and fully-enclosed working environment which will enable the organization to handle a diverse range of functions in support of those in need locally,” said Jordan.
