NoMad Offices Once Used by Astors Trade for $13M

Cushman & Wakefield arranged the sale of 21 & 23 W. 26th St., two historic adjacent, separately owned office buildings totaling 14,885 square feet in Manhattan’s NoMad District. The final sale price was $13,400,000.

The firm’s Craig Waggner, John Ciraulo and Mike Kavanagh represented the seller. It was the first sale of 21 W. 26th since 1979 and of 23 W. 26th since 2005.

“This sale is yet another example that end-users are still very interested in New York City’s office market,” said Waggner. “The purchaser is a company coming out of a lease with a vision and a sizeable renovation budget, which is to be expected when purchasing older buildings, that wanted a home that will fit their identity for many years to come.”

The buildings were constructed in 1881 as the real estate offices for William Waldorf Astor and John Jacob Astor III.
