Nokia Sailing New HQ into Cypress Waters
Nokia inked a deal with developer Billingsley Co. to take down 350,000 square feet that will serve as the technology giant’s North American headquarters. The transaction will allow Nokia to consolidate its North Texas operations in two buildings in The Sound at Cypress Waters, a mixed-use project situated in Billingsley’s 1,000-acre Cypress Waters development. Cypress Waters is in Dallas and Coppell, TX.
The company will occupy 100,000 square feet at 3100 Olympus, a multi-tenant building that also houses Delta Cos and Tamko. The remainder of the tenant’s space will be at 3201 Olympus Blvd. The target date for consolidation completion is Q3 2019. According to Nokia’s Dave Senior, the move will bring together 2,300 employees who currently work in Irving and Plano, TX.
Randy Cooper, Craig Wilson, Chad Tsitovich, Scott Goldman and Chris Wood of Cushman & Wakefield represented Nokia in its real estate search. Marijke Lantz represented Billingsley Co.
