No Auction Love for Halliburton’s Alice Property
A 20-acre, 103,300-square-foot facility slated to be auctioned off still belongs to seller Halliburton. The Alice, TX-based property was pulled by Williams & Williams, a real estate auction company based in Tulsa, OK, because no one showed up to bid.
According to Williams & Williams, the asset at 850 Commerce St. did receive interest prior to the auction. However, when no one came to bid, the company decided to call off the event. “We know there is interest in the property, and we are still entertaining offers,” said Williams & Williams spokeswoman Cindy Dees. The auctioneer has successfully auctioned off more than 30 other properties owned by Halliburton.
Alice, located approximately two hours south of San Antonio, was one of the hardest-hit cities in the oil downturn.
