Nike Runs to 70K-SF Fifth Avenue Space

Nike Inc. struck a deal with SL Green Realty Corp. and developer Jeff Sutton to take down 69,214-square-feet-plus at 650 Fifth Ave., near West 52nd Street in Manhattan. The 15-year deal spans more than five stories at the location, comprising the building’s entire retail area. Joanne Podell with Cushman & Wakefield represented NIKE.

The apparel sports company has been seeking out space in Manhattan for a while, at one point making a run for FAO Schwarz’s former 53,000-square-foot space at 767 Fifth Ave., which eventually went to Under Armour. Nike also opened a 55,000-square-foot store at 520 Broadway in Soho, and also does business at 6 E. 57th St.
