NHI to Finance Development of Milwaukee-Area SNF

National Health Investors Inc. has entered into an agreement to finance the development of a 144-bed skilled nursing facility in Oak Creek, WI., near Milwaukee. NHI is committing $23.35 million to the project, which will operate as Ignite Medical Resort Creek Oak Creek and is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2020.

The new facility will be operated by a tenant entity owned by affiliates of Villa Healthcare and Ignite Medical Resorts. It’s the first time NHI has partnered with Villa and Ignite.

“We believe this new relationship will provide an excellent opportunity to expand our presence in this market,” said Eric Mendelsohn, president and CEO of Murfreesboro, TN-based NHI.

At Villa, President Ben Israel said partnering with NHI on the project, along with continuing the existing Villa/Ignite relationship, “was an easy decision, as their values align with ours.”
