Next Generation: Jon Weems, Transwestern-Dallas

Jon Weems is Transwestern’s dedicated property manager of the 2.2-million-square-foot CityLine, one of the Dallas-area’s most recent office complexes to be delivered.  What is even more interesting is that Weems’ background was not in commercial real estate.

According to Kim Croley, Tranwestern’s executive vice president of national marketing and communications, Weems rose in the ranks from an assistant property manager of industrial properties, to oversight of the CityLine office project. “His role would be challenging to industry veterans with 10-20 years’ experience,” Croley observed. “Yet, Jon has mastered it in four.”

In his work, Weems continues asking questions in an effort to learn more about what he is doing and how he can improve. Additionally, “Jon is willing to take on any project, be it something as minor as janitorial walks with vendors, to creating a full breakdown of how 10,000 parking spots ties out over 15 different cost allocations,” Croley said.
