Next Generation Honoree: Grant Pruitt Achieves Rapid Success with Startup Whitebox

Starting a business isn’t a decision to be taken lightly, especially within an already competitive landscape. However, Grant Pruitt launched Whitebox Real Estate in 2016, and in less than two years has grown the Dallas-based, tenant-focused advisory firm to a competitive position within the industry. The success he experienced so quickly is a testament to his leadership, insight, business acumen and ability to connect. These are all attributes he has demonstrated throughout his career, during which he has completed over 2.8 million square feet of real estate transactions, with a value in excess of $300 million.

Those are just some of the reasons we chose Pruitt to be one of the Texas 2018 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s second annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

In an industry that has been reluctant to evolve, Pruitt has taken the initiative by developing a tool that helps simplify the decision-making process for investors. The tool, Market Scout, eliminates unwanted investor emotional bias when investing in real estate, with the use of data/analytics to showcase the present and forecast the future. It’s especially useful for a market such as Dallas/Fort Worth, where the competition to get into the right real estate space is becoming more intense.
