Next Generation Honoree: Parkway’s Rima Soroka Thinks a Step Ahead

A recent addition to the Parkway Properties team, Rima Soroka is now co-head of leasing for over nine million square feet of class A office space in Houston. She joined Parkway from CBRE, where she was VP in the office agency group and successfully repositioned an underperforming property into a market leader, among other accomplishments. She has worked on many high-profile buildings in both Houston and New York City, where she began her professional career 11 years ago. Soroka has shown herself to be a sharp, determined and savvy broker, with experience that surpasses her years.

Those are just some of the reasons we chose Soroka to be one of the Texas 2018 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s second annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

Soroka has distinguished herself in the industry as an early adopter of tech, utilizing digital marketing tools and virtual reality before most in the industry. She stays on top of all the new technology coming into commercial real estate, from Matterport, to virtual reality, to better management tools for viewing real-time rent rolls. Her brochures and marketing materials also reflect a proactive approach: inventive and strategic, consistently thinking one step ahead of what the client wants and needs.
