Next Generation Honoree: Megan Guy Takes Simone Development to a Higher Level

Megan Guy joined Simone Development in 2016, and in just under two years as VP of development has grown the division exponentially. She now leads the company’s development department, which has allowed the Simone organization to continue to grow and pursue projects at a higher level of sophistication. Shortly after joining Simone, Guy approached ownership with constructive suggestions as to how the department could operate in a more structured manner. Her suggestions were implemented, and all aspects of the acquisition, land use, design, construction and leasing phases of the company’s projects have never run more smoothly.

Those are just some of the reasons we chose Guy to be one of the New York 2018 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s second annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

Although making an operation with many moving parts run more efficiently is an achievement in and of itself, it’s even more so when both manager and operation are new. Guy walked into a newly-established department and, with minimal direction, paved a path for herself and the department that brought it to a level that no one anticipated. Now, just under two years later, Guy is single-handedly spearheading the management and coordination of all the company’s ground-up and redevelopment projects across office and healthcare real estate.
