Next Generation Honoree: Justin Brasell, Transwestern’s Youngest Executive

Over the past four years, Transwestern’s Justin Brasell has grown his portfolio by over 700%, with much of that growth attributable to identifying unique opportunities in the market. Brasell consistently evaluates the market for incorrectly positioned properties, as well as properties with a “story.” As an example, he recently won an assignment to convert an office building to a medical office as the asset’s quality and location made it better suited for healthcare use.

Those are just some of the reasons we chose Brasell to be one of the Texas 2018 Next Generation Award winners. Connect Media’s second annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders in the commercial real estate industry who are likely to be influential for years to come.

Beyond his brokerage acumen, Brasell’s leadership skills and reputation within the company led to his selection as leader of Houston’s healthcare advisory services group. It’s the firm’s largest dedicated healthcare brokerage team in the state, and at age 34, Brasell is the youngest executive within Transwestern.

Additionally, Brasell was selected to lead Transwestern’s Young Professionals (TYP) organization, comprised of over 165 individuals. He has been running TYP for the past three years in Houston. Brasell has been ranked as a top broker in Houston by the Houston Business Journal for the past two years, with a combined total of over $185 million in transactions in that time.
